Alister Maclean wrote the best -selling Fear Is The Key and in 1972 the book was turned into an all-action big budget movie. Roy Budd, the British composer and jazz pianist was only 25 years old when he was given the opportunity to write the music for this film.
Armed with all the big guns of British jazz scene, including performances from Tubby Hayes and Ronnie Scott, this is one of Budd’s wildest and exciting scores. The film was famous for its major action sequences (including the legendary car chase) which provided a unique opportunity to show off the composer’s amazing skills and those of the musicians who he worked with.
A must for all Budd fans and music of the 70’s!
